About LoZeldaWhen someone says "tell me about yourself", I'm never really quite sure where to begin. I'm a little all over the place! My name is Jenn, specifically with two n's because every time we moved somewhere new while I was growing up my name would get shorter and I was afraid if I let people drop an "n" eventually I'd just be "J". I have degrees in chemistry and physics, and spent a number of years working on dark matter and neutrino experiments before moving to pharmaceuticals and medical devices, eventually leaving it altogether in favor of more people-centric pursuits. Now I spend my days making videos, streaming, sewing, teaching, and contracting out my editing and social media services.

Streams/Videos |
One of my favorite things about games is their ability to bring people together. As someone who is passionate about communities and loves seeing friendships form, using games to facilitate that was a no-brainer. I stream multiple times a week, leaning heavily towards off-the-wall indie titles (the stranger the better!) and old school nostalgia trips, and focusing on making my viewers a part of the experience. Once a week I utilize the "creative" category and stream myself making something, encouraging the chat to ask questions about what I'm doing so they can learn techniques to use later themselves. YouTube has become home to all of the stream recordings, as well as original videos of game series, tutorials, and some good ole sass.

Cosplay
|
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, cosplay is the greatest compliment a character can get. I do cosplay out of a deep love and respect for whatever universe it is I am representing at that time. Not only do these characters mean a lot to me, but to a great number of other people as well. Accurate representation of the character, down to the finest details, is incredibly important to me when creating a new costume. I also make it a point to use each project as a way to learn new skills, purposely choosing characters that have an element I haven't tried before such as resin casting, armor, and wig wefting just to name a few.

Social Media
|
I accidentally fell into social media management a few years ago when I started a community group for local Rooster Teeth fans in my state. What started as "hey let's all hang out" has now grown to an 800+ member group with several social media outlets, multiple live events, countless online events, and active community forums. Nothing teaches you quite like failure not being an option, and as a result I've learned the ins and outs of effective social media usage as both a community building tool and a marketing tool. I currently run social media for a total of seven organizations, companies, and events, connecting their fans and customer bases with each other and the products we represent.
